March Dinner Program “Orchids of Indiana”

We welcome Mr. Scott Namestnik to the IKES on Wednesday, March 15th. Scott is a driving force in preserving habitat and wildflower identification. He is the botanist at the Indiana Natural Heritage Data Center, which is part of the Indiana DNR-Division of Nature Preserves. He has 20 years experience with the flora of the Great Lakes region. He has co-authored two books, “Wildflowers of the Midwest” and “Wildflowers of the Indiana Dunes National Park”. He supports many organizations, and has been instrumental in preserving valuable habitats.

Did you know that wild Orchids are native to Indiana and St. Joe County? Scott will describe in detail our native orchids and where you might be able to find them. His expertise on native wildflowers and flora is unparalleled!

This a program that should not be missed! See you on the 15th
